The Feroze Ghadially and J. Allan Tucker Awards

sponsored by the

The Society for Ultrastructural Pathology in conjunction with the United States/Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), has established the Feroze Ghadially and J. Allan Tucker Awards for the poster presentation(s), based on an ultrastructural study or using electron microscopy to a major extent, judged to be the most outstanding during the three day poster exhibition at the annual USCAP meeting. Awards may also be presented at the biennial Ultrapath meetings for outstanding poster or platform presentations.

Each award is $500 and is open to any individuals in training (including residents, fellows, graduate students, and medical students) in an accredited training program who has submitted an abstract that is accepted for presentation.  Winning abstracts will be included in the Society for Ultrastructural Pathology Newsletter. Arrangements are also made to submit the contents of the poster for publication in Ultrastructural Pathology.

The two awards are named in honor of Dr. Feroze Novroji Ghadially and Dr. Joseph Allan Tucker for their long time support of and contributions to the Society for Ultrastructual Pathology. The Ghadially Award was established at the 2013 USCAP meeting; the Tucker Award was established at the 2014 USCAP meeting.  In previous years these awards were presented as the Pathologist in Training Award.

For the USCAP meeting, applicants need only check the boxes for the Stowell-Orbison award and the ultrastructural category, and if selected for the Stowell-Orbison competition, they will automatically be considered for the Ghadially and Tucker awards.

Complete application guidelines are available here.

The deadline for the Ghadially-Tucker application is the same as the USCAP abstract deadline.
